I recently attended one of Caroline’s painting workshops and was completely blown away by the experience.

Caroline carefully and lovingly curated a memorable and engaging experience for all who attended. The venue was cozy and intimate, the food and spirits were amazing and Caroline quickly put everyone at ease with their various levels of talent. She provided great instruction and materials, demonstrating techniques and hints without stifling anyone’s creativity. She encouraged all to have fun, experiment and make their art their own while providing positive feedback. Caroline’s warm smile and creative spirit makes everyone involved feel welcome and appreciated but her special talent is inspiring creativity at every level. I highly recommend Caroline’s workshops and cannot wait to take more friends to her events!

Caroline Simas is an amazing artist who uses her talent to teach art to students, like me, who come to the art buffet table without any experience! She is kind and generous and never allows her students to feel intimidated or overwhelmed by the art of painting.

Caroline makes you feel like you can paint anything – she helps you find untapped talent hidden within yourself and empowers you to create what you want to create. I attended the Beginning to Bloom retreat in March 2023 and left feeling joyful and was confident enough to purchase art supplies the next day so that I could add watercolor to stamped flowers at my leisure. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but because of Caroline’s positive energy and careful teaching, I can paint flowers using fun colors, adding whimsy as I go and not worry about being perfect or staying inside the lines.

It is always a blessing to see Caroline Simas. She is truly sunshine in human form! I have had the opportunity to be involved with Caroline in multiple settings – as a student, for commissioned art and as a gift shop buyer.

Caroline’s classes are fun and informative, without being too challenging for “non” artists such as myself. Her vibrant teaching studio reflects her love of color and welcomes everyone. Caroline is an experienced teacher of all age groups. She quickly establishes an atmosphere where everyone feels both comfortable and creative, regardless of skill level. She utilizes group and individualized instruction to connect with students and to help them to achieve their best. I am always excited to experiment with the new techniques learned in class and often share them with my granddaughters.

Caroline is inspiring on so many levels, from classes to commissioned art and unique gift items. Her style may vary from one creation to the next, but her use of color makes her work easy to identify. Can you remember what it was like, as a child, to open a new box of crayons? That describes Caroline and her joy for art!

This past Spring I attended a three day watercolor & waves workshop co-hosted by Caroline Simas. It was amazing. By the end I felt like I had made new friends and my soul had been nourished. Though some of us had never painted before and others hadn’t touched a paintbrush for years, Caroline showed us that we were all capable of creating beautiful pieces. We had so much fun. I loved meeting Caroline and look forward to working with her again in the future. If you get the opportunity to go to one of her classes or workshops, you should definitely go! Caroline is a gem.
