  • The most popular workshop & my personal favorite to teach! Stamp fresh flowers and learn to embellish with watercolor & ink.

  • A very popular workshop and great for any level and also good for co-ed/corporate team building! Blow paint with straws, etc. Come away with 6-8 originals. SO much fun!

  • One of the most popular workshops! Learn how to create a watercolor with your favorite quote or verse.

  • Messy but fun workshop cutting, pasting, and adding a variety of materials to create a unique collage on canvas.

  • Watercolor abstract paintings with thread, fabric scraps and other materials for dimension and detail.


  • An exploratory workshop on the basics of creating lovely landscapes using a variety of mixed media.

  • Bring your own jeans, sneakers, jean jacket or any piece of clothing and learn to hand-paint and transform your clothing and accessroies into hand-painted fashion and wearable art!

  • Bring your own wine or champagne bottle and learn how to hand-paint it for a special keepsake or gift: birthday, graduation, congrats, new job, new home, engagement, wedding, etc.

  • A beginner’s workshop on basic watercolor techniques.

  • We use all kinds of materials—even food—to create patterns!

  • Cover a canvas in color!

  • Learn how to start and continue a creative art journal focused on joy and gratitude.

  • Watercolor painting of any subject you choose (a butterfly, heart, landscape, etc) then we add thread, fabric and other materials for dimension and detail.

  • Learn how to paint ceramic bisque eggs ...Bring them out every year for spring/Easter decoration! Each attendee will be able to paint 4 eggs.

  • Learn how to hand-paint faux pumpkins and be able to enjoy them each year as fall decor! Each attendee will be able to paint at least two!

  • Learn how to hand-paint bisque Christmas ornaments. Each attendee will be able to paint at least two ornaments.

FAQs

  • Plan for your workshop to be between 2-3 hours, sepending on the theme! I take photos and video during the workshop and will send you photos and create a video recap for your workshop so you can have it as a treasured reminder of your special occasion

  • The cost is $125 per person (includes all instruction, art materials, fabulous food and drinks.) If you secure 15+ people including you, the price drops to $100 per person. Option to add on a goody bag for each attendee (hand-painted bookmark, chocolates in a gift bag with tissue paper $15 pp) 

    I do require a deposit of $100 to hold the date and time. Usually the host (you) pays for everyone up front then her guests pay her back. The balance would be due 5 days before the workshop date as I have to purchase materials and have everything prepared. By paying the deposit you secure the date and time.

  • You get to gather your people for this private event! This may be friends, colleagues, family or others. You and I will choose two dates that work and you can poll your guests. Once we have set a date, time & theme I will create an invite image for you to send to your guests.

  • There is a minimum requirement of 6 participants (including you). We can now accommodate up to 20 participants!

  • My private workshops take place at my studio which is located in historic SouthEnd inside Dilworth Artisan Station 118 E Kingston Ave. Charlotte, NC 28203. For parking: use our back parking lot or Office Depot. Our side door entrance is unlocked M-F 9am-5pm. If your workshop begins after 5pm, someone will be down at the door to greet you during the designated arrival window. My studio is located on the 2nd floor in Studio #28

  • Most of my workshops are weekday evenings happy hour 4:00-6:30pm or 4:30-7;:00pm or 5:00-7:30pm or 5:30-8:00pm. We can also do weekday mornings 9:30am-12:00pm or 10:00am-12:30pm and have mimosas and brunch bites. I am open to other days and times, and I occasionally lead workshops on weekends. It all depends on my calendar because I travel and lead retreats internationally. Once I receive your email requesting a booking, we will connect to set a date, time, and workshop theme.

  • Some of the workshops I teach with watercolor are not messy while others can be very messy. I have artist smocks for each participant, but I would always advise not to wear your finest. I want you to feel free to create, sweet people!

  • During the first 15 minutes of the workshop you and your guests will mingle, get name tags and enjoy a variety of charcuterie, snacks, wine, water and sweets or mimosas and brunch bites before the workshop begins. We are unable to accomodate food allergies.. All of this is included in your workshop fee.

  • yes! I am opening a limited number of dates for special guests to come lead their own workshops in my studio, whether that is art or counseling or a book launch or a seminar, etc. Event space is hard to come by in Charlotte and it's especially hard to find an affordable, creative environment to host a group for a special occasion.

CREATE NATURE-INSPIRED HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS

  • Begin your holiday preparations by creating some of your own holiday essentials. Come enjoy a relaxing and productive morning making gift tags and wrapping paper using a variety of art supplies + fresh flowers and greenery. The workshop will be led by local artist, Caroline Simas.

    All materials will be provided, and we will have light refreshments and coffee. Participants can enjoy the gardens after the class.
